HOWDY....

.... had a top day with Alice, and as had not been to my private wetlands for awhile thought worth a visit.

Well, as soon as I left the car felt as if something looking at me??

Started walking and noticed a rustle in the leaves on the ground out of the corner of the eye!!

Looked around and there this Eastern Water dragon lizard was sitting watching my every move?

It was a really good size and well camouflaged in the ground cover of leaves etc.

Then spotted this family of water fowl feeding in the muddy edges of the wetlands. The water is very low at present due lack of rain here.

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE to see it's massive claws on the left - and in the Flickr shot of the fowl mum has some tucker in her beak.
