A burst main event

I noticed this on my way home from work yesterday, a ghostly parabolic shape near the road. This morning, at -3 degrees, it's making ice sculptures and rainbows. The mains from the reservoir run through these fields. I decided against sticking my finger in the hole and duly did my civic duty on line.
