Honeyeater!

I had a lovely time late this afternoon, sitting quietly with my camera waiting for the little tiny birds to come and drink from the bird baths on the lower deck.  Now that the weather is a lot warmer, it's going to be an enjoyable activity.

This little honeyeater caught my eye and I'm about to go to bed with Simpson & Day's Field Guide to the Birds of Australia to try and work out exactly what this beautiful little character is.  I'll keep you posted :-)

PS - I'm pretty sure the little bird is a White-eared Honeyeater :-)
