Every picture tells a story....

Part of Saturdays project,was to find the railway line that once served as a feeder to the then existing ..Collieries!

Coming from the heart of the Black Country,this area was a once thriving community and a key part in the Industrial revolution..

Researching revealed 2 collieries,Bromley and Old Park,so as I walked across the canal path,I was aware of the existing canal routes,but uncertain where the old railway line was...
As I walked under a bridge,I noticed the gaps in the floor of the bridge,and walked up the embankment to look closer...

From it's caged metal enclosure,I noticed a gap and entered to where I was standing for this shot...
And here it is! A small section,and the only few pieces left,of what once was a vital asset!
