Christmas & the City

Groningen is covered in christmaslights, every street in the city center now has a festive atmosphere, like here behind der Aa-Kerk (the Aa-Church) on the Vismarkt (Fishmarket). Great if you don't have the room for a christmastree in your house, like me.

But imagine all the electricity these lights cost :O Fortunately, the Groningen city-council is now also using LED-lighting, which is much more sustainable.
