Hearth side strife

A quiet day today. We went to the craft market at the Brewery and were especially pleased to discover it was free parking Sunday! I strolled Pepper up the lane, and then we spent some time filling the woodshed with the winter logs, and tidying around the greenhouse. I was delighted to see that Merlin's oak tree has passed 5' this year!
Dusk soon arrived and we lit the wood burner. The pets have spent the evening deciding who should be nearest the hearth.
