Advent!

The first Sunday of Advent always creeps up and takes me by surprise.

I just about managed to collect all of the elements needed in time:
Holly and it's berries represents the crown of thorns and the blood Jesus shed.
Ivy is a clinging plant reminding us that we need to cling to God for support in our lives.
Laurel worn as a wreath head-dress to symbolise victory, in this case, victory of God over the devil.
Fir is an evergreen and so signifies everlasting life with God.
