Early morning walk

We went for an early morning walk on this rather cold grey day.  I just spotted this Heron on the other side of the estuary peaking its head above the rocks.  Knowing it was likely to fly as we approached I changed the settings to take consecutive shots, probably should have increased the ISO as well.  I like the motion blur caught here though. 

The heavy rains recently seem to have changed the shape of the estuary, the extra shows this area.
