Alex
This afternoon I went on a U3A urban walk entitled The Bouet and beyond...
The Bouet is probably the last place most people would consider for a group walk but it was much more interesting than than the usual country lanes type of walk.
The Bouet used to be a fairly run down area of Guernsey that most people avoided. Since the old States Houses (our equivalent of Council Houses) were demolished and attractive social housing put in place, as well as many private houses and flats, the area has improved beyond belief.
There are a couple of play areas for children in the social housing area and the photograph shows Alex trying to get back down off the climbing cubes (which weren't cubes but may have been dodecahedrons or may even have had more sides!
