Joe...

is a highly respected local Maori carver I photographed chainsawing a large log at the start of the Sculpture Symposium on Nov 19th. This is 'Mana' the wonderful piece of art he completed today using just  a chainsaw and chisels. It has been a privilege to watch  him and the 16 talented artists working during the week and watch as their fabulous creations took shape.  A couple of extras as well
