Dinner Time

"Oi! Whatcha got for us??"

We went to visit a friend in Reading this afternoon and afterwards we went to Maiden Erlegh lake and nature reserve. It's been a long time since we've been here and we just made it around the whole lake just before dark. I'm afraid we were unprepared for the swan's dinner time, but there were others there feeding them so they seemed happy.

Maiden Erlegh lake is in the town of Earley (same pronunciation). I've never understood the different spellings. Is it just a coincidence? Anyone local like to enlighten me?
