Carnival!

Bridgwater Carnival to be more precise.  What a fabulous day we have had!

Firstly, we caught up with our friend who moved in the summer - their 2 youngest were my middle 2's 'besties' - and it was good.  Very good.  I think MrRoly and I have both missed them.

Then at 4, we went to look at the 'carts' parked up and continued on into town.  We stayed out until gone 11 for the hardcore, mostly stood up in the cold but boy was it worth it!

We found a top spot outside KFC (classy) and watched all 2 hours plus of the parade.  The carts are incredible - my blip does not do justice to the winning cart.  This one (and several others) was 3 parts 'long' - the first section being the driven unit, the second section a 'float' and the 3rd section housing the genny for the lights, music and moving bits!  

The Dads then too the 3 youngest home as they'd had enough while the Mums stayed out with the 3 elder children for the 'squibbing'.  Madness - google it as I cannot possibly describe the thing!

A most excellent day and we have already booked ourselves in for next year!
