Cacti blossom in abundance

Another very bright but chilly day.

Safely home after our lovely midweek break in Fife. A quiet day in prospect with our grandchildren coming for a sleepover this evening.

We have been thrilled with how our Christmas Cactus has developed. So many blossoms with such a lovely colour.

We are about to enter the Advent season but I wonder if it will get much attention with Black Friday shopping seeming to last a week and record amounts of spending taking place online. I wonder how much of that is about trying to get a 'feel good' experience after all the dismal economic news and fears about the Trump victory. I am glad that eternal values will out 'Trump' the ephemeral thrill of spending money.
