In loving memory

When my beloved 95 year-old grandmother died earlier this year she left me a bequest in her will. Her specific request was that the money was not to be used on every day expenses.

I decided to buy a piece of jewellery to remember her by. She loved amethysts.  For my 18th birthday she bought me a locket inset with an amethyst. My "something borrowed" on my wedding day was an necklace and earrings belonging to her which were amethyst.

I eventually found this ring, just the right colour and style - a perfect way to remember my lovely Gran.
