Sail Away

Today was such a glorious day we went for a walk along the banks of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness . It takes about 7 minutes for each loch gate to fill up and there are four gates in total. Designed by Thomas Telford it cuts through the Great Glen Way from Inverness to Fort William . Along it's 60 mile length you pass through small towns and villages, spectacular scenery, and there's always the possibility that you might just spot the Loch Ness Monster!! Caledonian Canal
