Venice (detail)

This is a detail from a painting I am close to finishing. With the final arrangements being made to hold an exhibition at the end of the next month I will be painting like fury over the next few weeks!! I also photographed this as, after a beautiful morning, it is now lashing it down outside so an indoor blip was in order.

I've backblipped yesterday's sunset for those interested.
We also had a fatality yesterday morning: an adult greenfinch had flown into the kitchen window and was killed. Pre-breakfast activity was burial... on the positive, PJnr is getting on well and is still be fed by its parent. No sign of PJnr II, and I'm hoping that the pile of feathers I passed on the bike this morning further up the road are not his! I prefer to think of him safely hiding in another neighbour's tree :o)
