Track to nowhere

The railway line goes no-where. Yet this short section of track in Romsey is now part of the town's heritage.
It sits alongside the old signal box which is now a living museum recalling the town's railways of the past. Sadly within living memory it was not just branch lines which disappeared but the workings which went with them
Fortunately the people of Romsey decided to save their signal box and it is now part of the town's heritage. You cannot call it a heritage railway line, because this track runs past the signal box, but no further.
To railway enthusiast it's a treasure, particularly as on open days you can visit the signal box and more than likely  you'll have the chance to pull a few levers, just as though it was still a working signal box.
Well. Who wanted to be a train driver, anyway?
