Hard freeze

Yesterday's Thanksgiving feast is over, and turkey soup is now simmering on the stove.
Today is Black Friday, the retail kick off for Christmas shopping, and I am intentionally avoiding that scene.
Yet I am reminded that December is on its way by the fresh icicles hanging over the creek at the dog park.
