Wherever next?

Our first winter for two years. -9ºC overnight with crisp clear views of the milky way as we scraped the frost from the house windows when we arrived. We ate diner in our down jackets as the wood burner slowly pushed up the temperature. Today we were better organised and the house was almost too toasty as we headed for the hills after putting the sauna on timer for when we returned. Dave's dodgy knee meant that we didn't quite reach the summit but the views from the ridge were as spectacular as ever and our earlier descent meant we had time for cappuccino and carrot cake in the Way Out West Cafe with Cathie and Bill. Life moves slowly here and it feels as if there is always time to enjoy the finer things in life.
