That lovely weatherman John Hammond gave a very complicated explanation about jet streams and positive and negative arctic oscillations with all sorts of impressive graphics last night and I think what it comes down to is that we might get cold weather in December. Well I never.
Anyway we had a load of logs delivered today and I barrowed them round to the back of the house and LooseCanon stacked them up. (See his blip. ) https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2248508490412720811
Being slightly obsessive about such things I counted them and by my calculations we have enough to keep warm until spring without having to start burning the furniture. It'll probably be very mild now.
