Morning snack

This youngster and her mom are hanging around in our field. I've noticed the mom is favoring one of her front legs, holding it up or limping when she walks. So she prefers laying down, while her offspring  explores nearby. 
I think she is eating lichen from the fallen branches here.
Busy day getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. We will have a houseful of people, big ones and little ones.
