No Gain Without Pain...

Our rehearsal studio in Stockport can be found at the bottom of a forgotten cobbled path in the backstreets near the Pyramid. It is an old warehouse that has seen better days, and is now living out its final days being slowly destroyed by high decibel bass frequencies emanating from hundreds of hopeful bands.

This building was never suitable for its new purpose, because although it has a number of sound-proofed studios, the only access is up those flipping steps.
You can just see that the steps turn to the left and goes ever upwards.
This means that in order to practise, you first have to lug all your equipment up them - and for anybody who has tried to even lift a medium-sized speaker cab, they will know how difficult a task that is.

..so after 30minutes setting up, band practise started. Out of an eleven song setlist, five were really tight, four were flaky but retrievable and two were sublime.

All in all, a good night - apart from the bad back and the buzzing in the ears.
