Weather!
To paraphrase Shakeseare - something I clearly do all the time -
Now is the winter of our content
Made glorious summer by this sun of Uist
And all the clouds that lour’d upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.
Our run of weather continues, made even better by the lousy weather one hears about in the South. We have had our share of wind and rain and so I have no problems crowing this once!
Off to the fleshpots of Lochmaddy and then for a stroll on the machair on the north coast of North Uist. Always a stunning spot although oddly birdless with the exception of one flock of eight Snow Buntings. A two mile unbroken beach in the sunshine with no people can't be bad.
In the evening our local library was hosting one of my favourite authors, Ann Cleeves of Shetland and Vera fame. Interesting to hear her take on various things and I came away with her latest book in the Shetland series.
