The Herbaceous Border

The weather this morning was very hot. It was a day for tidying up and beautifying. Despite the heat I managed to mow the lawns. A builder friend came to secure two tall bookcases to the wall. Maisie went off to Sally, the Dog Groomer, for her beauty treatment this afternoon. She now has "Poodle Paws"... her toes clipped short to make it easier to find barley grass and other seeds. She looks very pretty. Not to be left out I went to Sandi my hairdresser this afternoon and had my hair permed and cut.
