Synchronised swimming

Was on the receiving end of a random act of kindness today.
Went into town to take Little miss bossy to theatre & as there's not quite enough time to go back home, I went Christmas present shopping (2 more ticked off the list!) and then I treated myself to a coffee - I offered the barista 10€ and he waved it away, saying I was there often enough, I could have it on the house...I was rendered almost speechless!
