Summer is truly over!
Last Friday we set the high temperature record for November 18th. It was 73 degrees. Everyone was outside, many wearing shorts, sandals, and other summertime garb. On Saturday evening, after picking up our daughter and son-in-law (who got a flat tire 20 miles from home), we stopped for pizza then drove home on roads covered by our first snowfall of the season. In less than 24 hours the temperature dropped from 73 to 37 degrees. That's when we knew summer was truly over. I took this sunset picture tonight (Monday), and today's high temperature was 37 degrees. I know there isn't anything extreme about that temperature. It's fairly typical for northeast Ohio in late November, but the suddenness of the change from "summer" to "winter" has been a real shock.
