Puppy love

I went downtown with the intention of collecting my Nikon from the repair shop, but wound up leaving it there with a heartfelt plea for a reduction in the repair price. Answer tomorrow, so fingers crossed - also that there will still be time to get the part before we travel.
 
Took a few photos downtown - it's such a place of contrasts, and the streets are always full - but this little lad snuggled up with his tiny puppy outside the metro station had to be the one. As soon as I spoke to him, his father (or some other creep) came up and asked for money for food for the puppy. I'm sure it will have gone straight to the father - for alcohol or whatever - but I gave a small note to the boy and told the man it was not for him. I doubt it will have stayed long with the boy, and as I went down on the escalator, the man headed off and I saw the lad scurrying after him.
