Cold

It has been a cold day here and the frost lasted for quite a long time, so it has been time to bring out the thermal underwear.  I bought thermal leggings from M&S to wear under trousers, so not the most glamorous item of clothing, and I explained at coffee this afternoon that they were definitely called leggings and not long johns.  They are certainly not short johns, although I have a friend who thinks there must be a short viking in my ancestry somewhere.  Who knows.
