Last of the autumn tints.

First task today was to take Euan & Eve to school. A job we love and it gives Ali a little break.
After lunch we were off again, this time chasing sun on snow. However, a bank of thick mist intervened and those snow-capped peaks vanished in a grey haze.
However, Lake of Menteith (main picture) was very calm and the sun had burned through to light up the beech leaves under the trees.
We then climbed up over the hill to Callander and round to Loch Venachar (extra photo) where the water was again calm enough for good reflections. Further along, we spotted some great views across Loch Achray but we could not stop and so missed it.
A very cold day, we saw "diamond dust" in the air outside our window this morning and the thermometer stayed around -2 Celsius while we're were out and about. Oddly, it is "warmer" now - about +2! Funny stuff, weather!
