Ethi-HOPE-ian

The start of a trip a long time in both the making and prepping. I hope the efforts will be worth it. Boarding Ethiopian Airlines for the first time I was fearful as the reviews I'd read were less than positive. However it was a very pleasant journey and the passenger next to me complimented my use of folding table to attain a sleeping position. First time transiting through Addis Ababa and I am keen to return to explore more of this unique country.

Onward to South Sudan! Ethiopian Airlines didn't get nervous about any goings on in Juba to cancel their onward leg, which they've been known to do in the past, leaving my colleague stranded.
