Sunset; Ythan Estuary

Lovely warm day again today.
You can tell the holidays are over.
Out and about doing all the usual Saturday things.

Decided to have a very late tea so that we could go for a run up the coast .
Read a book and take some photographs.
Ended up in Newburgh and went for a walk round the basin.
Full of birds, but no long lens and stupidly my compact which has a great zoom was out of charge.
Herons feeding in the sunset,
would have made super foreground interest
but no way you would get close enough.

Anyway took lots of really nice shots.
Chose this one, as I thought it gave the mood.
The sky was really dramatic in the last half hour of light
but by then the ground light had gone.
