Like Candles in the Wind

I keep going on about the Swiss foehn wind at the moment but it is dominating our weather. It has successfully stripped the deciduous trees of their leaves in our forests. However, the larches changed colour late this year and are still very connected to their golden needles. They really do add colour to our otherwise, grey days of glowering clouds which are associated with the foehn. But once it stops, it pours with rain - Thursday and Friday apparently. No wonder the highest suicide rates in Switzerland are associated with the foehn!
