Treasure...

Stuart and I went to visit a colleague's library in East Kilbride.   His widow had asked us to help her work out what to do with more than 750 books - a lot, even after another couple of colleagues had been invited to choose books they might need for their work.

I had not been in John's study before - at least not in this house - and I was amazed at the collection.   I always knew he was a thoughtful, deep thinker who loved literature and theology.    But this collection is so wide, well chosen, and simply of high quality.

It will take some time, but we will do our best to help Dorothy do the best thing with these.

Reviewing these books brought back some good memories.
