Cat in an egg box

As it has rained almost non stop for the past 24 hours, Smudge has found an empty egg box as an indoor bed. It must be lovely to be a cat, and not have to go outside in this bad weather. As for me, the chickens and ducks need to be fed and watered and mucked out in all weathers, and I have noticed the rain has ceased for the moment , so out I go once more to carry on looking after our feathered friends, and trying to stay upright on the slippery mud.

I can see a glimpse of blue in the sky, so spirits are uplifted.
