Caracas botanical garden
In a Web page about what to do in Caracas you can read: "Created in 1944, Caracas Botanical Garden is a display of exuberant nature. It contains more than 2,000 native and non-indigenous species as well as more than 100 types of palms and four greenhouses for bromeliads, ferns, orchids and shade plants. In addition, 100,000 trees belonging to 80 species grow in the Arboretum and more than 100,000 types of plants are found in the herbarium."
I can add that also has a small architectural gem designed by the Venezuelan architect Carlos Raul Villanueva: The Caracas Botanical Institute. This little building contains all the components that characterize the architecture of the University City of Caracas (Unesco World Heritage) to which it belongs.
