Fight Night

It`s been ages since I walked along the towpath up to the Stadium for shift.
Tonights` was a bit out of the ordinary though as it was Muay Thai or Thai Fight Extreme taking place in a huge marquee outside the ground.
Our owners are Thai and they had arranged for this to take place as a gesture to the Leicester fans for their support over the past few years.
It was a full on genuine evening. The full works with world class fighters flown in from Thailand plus 2 English guys who are also World Champion fighters. We had Bhuddist monks blessing the arena, the Mayor of Pattaya was in attendance + Thai dancers. It was phenomenal and a superb experience for the 3000 people who bought tickets for the event.
I was working in the V VIP marquee but was able to see the bouts on the two TV screens. It`s extremely noisy and very brutal....one fighter ended up with a broken nose.
They intend to have another event later on in the year and if you`re into that sort of thing then come along.
