A little known outrage

It isn’t well known that tens of thousands of Mountain Hares are slaughtered every year by shooting estates. It is alleged that hares have ticks that transmit louping-ill virus which causes increased mortality in red grouse chicks, so have to be culled in large numbers. As might be expected science doesn’t back these claims up, and it seems many hunts culls are for pleasure. What is worse is that the corpses are dumped in large graves and not even eaten. Today there was a demo at the Scottish Parliament to try and influence MSPs to introduce a ban on these culls for at least 3 years. The blip shows a ute full of knitted hares for each MSP and a large hare with a rather hot lady inside; she was probably the warmest person there. Also at the back of the ute is Alison Johnstone, Green MSP for the Lothians; she was one of 3 speakers who support the idea of the ban on the cull. The others were David Stewart the Labour MSP for the Highlands and Islands and Roseanna Cunningham the environment cabinet secretary. Noticeably absent were the Tories, who probably don’t see things in the same way, and rather more surprisingly the Liberals.
