Mountains, trespassing, swimming, and cake

I went to 3 sessions at the Kendal Mountain Festival today, all informative and fun. The Outdoor Swimming session included short films about all aspects of swimming, from butterfly relay across the channel to utter solace in frozen lakes (and lots of talk about the best cakes for us mortal swimmers). Then we went to a talk on Mass Trespass: the early struggle for access to the hills in Lancashire and Lakeland; and finished with the Best of Kendal, a variety of films including watching tornadoes, cycling in Rwanda and surfing in Iceland.
