Windfalls

Or maybe 'An Embarrassment of Riches'. I don't have any apple trees so the forager in my genes just cannot walk past these gifts of nature without picking up as many as I can while leaving plenty for the wildlife. Collected on recent country walks, I now have the problem of using several pounds of windfall apples of different varieties and size before they rot and conserving the rest for future use. 

Right now I have the jellybag deployed in straining liquor to make jelly using apples and the elderberries frozen from last years' picking to use as an accompaniment.
