Sgurr a Mhaim

Sgurr a Mhaim is pronounced Sgoor a Vime. It is part of the west end of the mountain range called the Mamores. Its ascent is a right hard slog from the floor of Glen Nevis. Most walkers will continue along the narrow ridge, seen as a slightly lower top to its right in this image, known as the Devil's Ridge. You used to be rewarded with another Munro if you climbed the hill at the other end of the ridge but as far as I know it has been removed from the Munro table.
From this view point, the shore at Caol, on a clear day your eye is drawn to the bulk and height of Ben Nevis and S a M at 800 feet lower barely comes up to the Ben's shoulder.
The swirling mist and low cloud curtaining the Ben, and wee bit of late afternoon sunshine, for once put this beautiful mountain in the spotlight,

We had a wee walk here after a visit to Treasures of the Earth. No fish and chips were involved despite going past the front door of the shop.

Two extras, one of bismuth and one of the boat along the shore
