A great night at the Usher Hall for the Midlothian Festival of Music. This is the chance for all the kids from the high schools and primaries of the area to show off their combined musical efforts.
So we had wind bands, choirs, big band, guitars, rock band, clarsachs, and some I've missed. My teenager had performed in the event 4 years ago but had since then avoided the band practice with the excuse that it clashed with ski training (which he gave up a year ago). Anyway, back on it this year and he thoroughly enjoyed it. As did we. Well done son, and everyone involved.
