Early Winter Walk

Decided to go out for a walk this afternoon just down to the river and back, as the roads were so icy we didn't fancy getting the car out.  The low sun was in our eyes most of the way there, but when I turned round there was this lovely golden view of the fields and the hills, the further ones with snow on.

Also met a new friend, as you'll see in my Extras:-)  The River Isla was very still and parts were still frozen on the surface as it's quite raw out there out of the weak sun.  We enjoyed the fresh air and exercise, but it's nice to come home and have a hot drink:-)
