Breakfast in the sun

When my lovely neighbour heard I wasn't well and was taking a day to get better he took me an hour out of Cairo to his weekender. It's in a vast sandy area where people are trying to grow fruit trees etc. it was quiet, the air was fresher and cleaner and it was good to be away from the city for a morning.
And when we came back he offered me a huge lunch.
I love Egyptian hospitality! And my neighbor is a lovely man. He remembers the Egypt of old, a very different, far less conservative country. Interesting listening to him.
