Greatness, sadness and disappointment

A very long day today. Mum decided to start off our final day in NYC with the 9/11 museum. Due to slow busses and the museum being huge (an issue of recent history) this ended up taking up the entire morning and part of the afternoon.

We grabbed lunch on the way to the dock and ate subs in the queue for the boat to Ellis Island. We took a jaunt to see the Statue of Liberty up close then took a look around the Ellis island museum. It was interesting and the audio tour provided lots of stories. Unfortunately we had to rush around the two parts in order to be back in time to meet Amelia. It was all getting s little much too, probably the two safest museums in New York.

Once we got back after, a little late we had a lovely dinner and catch up before going up the Empire State Building. The view was magnificent but sadly the super moon disappointed.
