Countesswells Woods

A lovely bright but cold day . 
We decided to have a walk this afternoon and headed for Countesswells Woods which are just on the westerly  fringes of Aberdeen . These days they are difficult to get to due to roads being closed for a large urban village that is being built on green belt land between Cults and Kingswells . 
Anyway ... we eventually managed to get to the woods and enjoyed a lovely walk in a very quiet wood ( most folk having, I suspect , given up trying to get out here ) . Lots of lovely light and shade in the woods plus some views of Westhill and the new Aberdeen City bypass which is under construction just west of the woods .
