Shining Out

It was good the see the European stars shining out from the the Museum for Communications in Berlin where the dinner for the Suddeutsche Zeitung Economic Summit was being held.  

The building is a very grand former national post office and site of the world's oldest postal museum.   The dinner  , which was very convivial included a  magnificent speech by the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schultz which also shone out as a positive affirmation of the outgoing, collaborative, peaceful purpose of the EU and its role in building  prosperity and hope  on the ruins of war.
