The world's gone grey

Today I got to experience the Beijing smog. It's not pleasant. By this afternoon I had a headache and a cough. I went to the Summer Palace. I could see why the Emperors would go there to escape the city, the lake must be lovely in summer. Today you could only just see the other side. The light was flat so I experimented so see what I could photograph with such a mono background. 

This lady in her wonderful flowery coat with her shopping trolley was singing. She didn't seem to be collecting money, just singing for everyone passing.
