7am get up
7.30 leave house &head to Oban
7.40 van gear selector jumps leaving me with only 3rd & 4th
8.00 hit sleet and snow driving conditions treacherous
8.30 arrive in school & phone local mechanic
2.15. Local mechanic gets pal to reset gear selector
3.15 phone battery flat
3.30 drive ban (carefully) home
4.45
Take van to garage & leave for temporary repair
5.30 Abbidog jumps off sofa to be sick, slides on carpet and decapitated Portuguese cockerel.

So thrre. Everything comes in 3s. Broken van, flat battery & headless chicken!

I may need a stiff dram.
