Sleet

Much of the day has been spent on activity related to draught exclusion around some of our windows and doors.  Since we still class our house as new build (5 years old), that might suggest lack of attention by the builders.  And it might be.

It might also suggest increased sensitivity to draughts as we get older and as our expectations alter.  In our first house we left a window half open for the cats and it was not unknown for me to clear snow from the carpet in the morning.

Work is progressing well if hampered by a couple of journeys to a specific diy store for a specific colour of sealant only to find they were no longer there.  When did that happen?

Then some sleet arrived and we convinced ourselves we were cosier.
