Kelpies by Night

Unusually him indoors and I both have leave at the same time.  We have taken the opportunity to take a short road trip to Scotland    Falkland to be precise.  Since seeing picture of the wonderful Kelpies  on this site I have wanted to visit.  They did not disappoint.  Nothing prepares you for the pure scale of them, they are truly magnificent.  

We arrive at our destination just as it was getting dark, dropped our luggage off at the hotel and headed out there.  

This is a back blip posted after our return, so I am able to give more info than I would if it was posted on the day.  The Kelpies were set to stay red as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives, as part of their remembrance activities.  They would usually change colour every day. Duke and Baron stand proud at 30 metres high and are a beautiful majestic addition to the Falkirk skyline which my night photography does not do justice to. 

We will definately be going again in the spring
